Swedbank Lithuania Management

Head of Swedbank Board, members of the Management Board and the extended Management team are responsible for Swedbank Lithuania’s day-to-day operations in accordance with Swedbank Group’s strategic direction and established policies, and in compliance with the external regulations. Management Board ensures the proper accounting and effective internal control systems. Management Board reports to the Supervisory Council.

Council

Council is a supervising body responsible for overseeing the activities of Swedbank Lithuania and its Management Board, including supervising that Swedbank Lithuania has sound and effective risk management, internal control, governance, nomination and remuneration process and auditing in place. Internal Audit is reporting directly to the Council. Council committees – Audit Committee, Risk Committee, Nomination and Remuneration Committee are assisting the Council in fulfilling its responsibilities.

Subsidiaries

In Lithuania Swedbank operates alongside other subsidiaries such as “Swedbank lizingas”, Swedbank Life Insurance, Swedbank P&C Insurance, and “Swedbank investicijų valdymas”.

Leasing

UAB “Swedbank lizingas” was the first subsidiary of Swedbank Group to start its business operations in Lithuania back in 1996. Today it is one of the largest leasing and factoring companies in the Baltics, offering cars, trucks and other equipment financing services, including:

  • financial lease
  • operating lease
  • operating lease with services

Swedbank Life Insurance SE Lithuanian branch represents Swedbank Life Insurance SE, incorporated in Estonia, which provides life insurance and other financial services in all Baltic countries.

P&C Insurance

Swedbank P&C Insurance AS Lithuanian branch represents the non-life insurance company Swedbank P&C Insurance AS, incorporated in Estonia. The company provides a range of non-life insurance services, including:

  • MTPL insurance
  • Home and apartment building insurance
  • Travel insurance,
  • Credit card liability insurance
  • Illness and unemployment protection

Established in 1999, Swedbank investicijų valdymas is owned by Swedbank Robur AB, which is a part of Swedbank Group. Swedbank investicijų valdymas is the leading pension fund manager in Lithuania in terms of the total value of managed funds as well as the number of customers. The company manages:

  • III pillar pensions funds

Swedbank Baltics AS is a sole shareholder of Swedbank Lithuania. Swedbank Baltics AS together with its subsidiary banks, including Swedbank Lithuania and other sister companies, forms the Baltic consolidation group, supervised by the European Central Bank.

Swedbank Baltics AS provides to Swedbank Lithuania the strategic guidance and coordinates the business development and processes, enabling Swedbank Lithuania to benefit from Swedbank Group synergies. Swedbank Baltics AS is a holding company and does not provide financial services and has no customers.
